Erev Sukkot Service and Potluck Dinner

In person (Thomas home, Stow) and via the main CBE ZOOM

Join us for a vegetarian potluck supper, singing, and a Sukkot service at Jai and Henry Thomas’ sukkah in Stow. Take in the beautiful sunset view, bring your voices and instruments, and find out why “Turn Turn Turn” is actually a Sukkot song!

Please RSVP to jaithomas@bethelohim.org with how many people will be attending and what dish you’d like to share. Jai will send the address and directions to their home in Stow.

Shake your lulav and etrog as we celebrate the first day of Sukkot.  Order your own set below before 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 15th! 

Friday evening, September 24  6:30 PM and Saturday morning, September 25 ♦ 9:30 AM

Shabbat-Sukkot Services

In person and via the main CBE ZOOM

Friday evening Shabbat service will be held in person in the CBE Sukkah.  Saturday Morning Shachrit will be held in the Sanctuary followed by a Kiddush in the Sukkah. 

Eat, sing and celebrate Shabbat and our awesome hut holiday with blessings and song.

One of the prime mitzvot of the holiday is to handle and wave the Arba’at Haminim (the Four Species) and to carry them in the procession at our Sukkot services, at home and at our religious school observances.

Cost is $50 for a Standard Size set!
Toy/Stuffed sets for your children can be purchased for $16
 
Deadline for ordering is 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15th.  You may also print and complete the flyer from the STAR and submit that to the CBE office by that time and date.
 
Pick-up:  You may pick up your set in the synagogue kitchen after 10:00 AM on Monday, September 20th.   Your name will be noted on the Etrog box.   There will be no reminder calls.

Wine and Cheese in the Sukkah - Sponsored by Brotherhood & Sisterhood ♦ Tuesday, September 21 ♦ 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Join us for Wine and Cheese in the CBE Sukkah!

There is no fee for this adults only, age 21 and over,  Sukkot celebration!

Brotherhood and Sisterhood would like to invite you to join us for an evening in the CBE Sukkah.

Snacks, wine, and cider will be provided.  

Please register below by Friday, Sept 17 so we know how many people will join us.

Sukkot Na'aseh Meeting in the CBE Sukkah ♦ Wednesday, September 22 ♦ 7:00 PM

Join Na'aseh for a Sukkot Social Action meeting.  This meeting will focus on the Tzedek Box Challenge which is a chance for everyone to incorporate social change into their Jewish living.  We will also talk about other initiatives - a clothing drie, work with Concord Prison Outreach, support for refugees, and more.


 

Sukkot Family Dinner in the CBE Parking Lot ♦ Saturday, September 25 ♦ 6:30 PM

Join us for a Night Under the Stars!  Join the CBE community for dinner and Havdalah in the Sukkah followed by the movie, Finding Nemo, on the big screen outside CBE.

Dinner begins at 6:30 PM.  The movie begins around 7:15 PM.  

There is no charge for this event and it is open to all.

Join Eric and Kerri for a casual schmooze in their Sukkah in Littleton.  Guests are encouraged to bring drinks, snacks or dessert food.  Just drop by and say hi!

Sunday, September 26 1:00 to 4:00 PM - Sukkot Shmooze at Anthony and Rabbi Mike's house in Acton

Join Rabbi Mike and Anthony for a casual schmooze and snacks in their Sukkah. Beverages are welcome but not required.  Just drop by and say hi!

Simchat Torah Celebration with special guest, Klezmer musician Barry Shapiro ♦ Picnic, Song, and Dance

Join our community celebration of connection and learning as we begin a new cycle of Torah! Sing and dance the night away with our special guest, Klezmer musician, Barry Shapiro.  

Bring dinner and a blanket or chairs and join us before the service for a picnic on the CBE lawn. This is a fun experience for all ages!

Picnic starts at 5:30 PM and service begins at 6:00 PM. Weather permitting, we may be dancing outdoors!

Sh’mini Atzeret/Simchat Torah Services (with Yizkor)

We’ll mark the end of Sukkot and our month-long holiday season with a service for Sh’mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.
