Simchat Torah Celebration and Services

Simchat Torah Celebration (Dancing with the Torah scrolls)

This is an evening not to miss! We’ll begin with a brief holiday service, followed by an up-close “tour” of the Torah, as we unroll the entire scroll around the sanctuary and hold it up for all to see. Then we’ll sing and dance the night away with music by our special guest, klezmer musician Barry Shapiro, and members of our own CBE Klezmer band. This is a joyful experience for all ages!

Monday, October 21 ♦ 9:30 AM

Sh’mini Atzeret/Simchat Torah Services (with Yizkor)

We’ll mark the end of Sukkot and our month-long holiday season with a service for Sh’mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

Visit a Sukkah Every Day of the Holiday!

Every day of Sukkot, Beth Elohim will be celebrating in a sukkah in a different location. You too can host!

It's not required that you serve a full meal. (In fact, you may ask others to provide the food!) All that we ask is that (a) you build a sukkah, and (b) you have space to welcome any members or guests who may want to attend.

There are currently two spots left as of September 18th. The schedule for the week is as follows.

Sunday, 10/13 - Erev Sukkot service and dinner at the home of Jai Gluckman & Henry Thomas - See details ABOVE
