Join us for a freileche (joyful) service with the ten-piece Klezmer band Shir Chutzpah, visiting from Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland.

Our connection with Shir Chutzpah was made during our recent scholar-in-residence weekend. Vivian Montgomery, Shir Chutzpah's co-director, pianist and accordion player, is a good friend of our recent scholar-in-residence Rabbi Neal Gold, and joined us for our scholar-in-residence programming. Many of us at CBE had the pleasure of meeting Vivian, who is also on the faculty at Longy School of Music, and  the idea of sharing our love of music with our neighbors in Wayland was born. Shir Chutzpah members are all volunteers, playing a wonderful variety of instruments: accordion, saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, fiddle, bass, mandolin, drum, trombone, and guitar.
