Jason is a firefighter in Norfolk VA. and volunteered as a firefighter in Israel during the first two weeks of November 2023.  Jason is going to share his experience with both his home community of Temple Emanuel and our community at CBE in this Zoom only speaker event.

Jason said, “I’ve always wanted to go to Israel, but this is not what I ever envisioned as my first trip to Israel”.  Rabbi David of CBE and Rabbi Oliszewski of Temple Emanuel will also participate in the discussion to add their perspective.  

Jason and his extended family are related to our congregants Heidi, Melissa, Samuel, and Peter Lovitz.   Both communities want to share Jason’s story as an inspiration and to show our support for Israel during these difficult times.
