Sisterhood - Blanket Me USA

For collection in September, we challenge anyone looking for ways to give back to create an adult sized (lap sized, approximately 36’ by 48’ or full-sized at about 52’ by 60’) blanket to be distributed by an organization called Blanket Me - a hands on mission to care for the homeless unable or unwilling to find shelter.   Providing blankets, coats, hats, gloves, food, etc. to homeless adults in the Blackstone Valley. And Hugs.

Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, fleece-knotted, etc. as long as they can be easily washed. Acrylic or superwash yarn is suggested.

If you’re interested in a smaller challenge, you can create 12’ by 12’ squares which we can put together for you. Sisterhood can help with patterns. We have some yarn, fleece, and supplies, and donations are always appreciated.
