“We are CBE” High Holiday Appeal Campaign
Our CBE community is comprised of a variety of members from different backgrounds and with different reasons for being part of our community. It is the uniqueness and contributions of each of our members that makes our community special.
This year, our High Holiday Appeal campaign theme is “We are CBE”, which focuses on our community members.
Throughout the fall we will feature various members via Star-Lite and a special “We are CBE” web page allowing all to learn more about the people who make up our CBE community.
CBE members can voluntarily choose to participate by completing the form below. We will ask you to submit a photo, tell us about yourself and why you are a member of CBE. We hope many will choose to participate and help us all get to know our community better.
As we celebrate the uniqueness of our community, we ask each of you to make a financial contribution in whatever amount you can so that CBE is able to grow and live up to our greatest values. We all share in the responsibility to help ensure that CBE continues to be a vibrant center of Jewish life, and a community with a strong future.
Submit your "We are CBE" article!
Thank you, in advance, for your willingness to participate in this year's campaign. Your contribution will help all get to know our members better. Please note that submissions may need to be edited to fit the allotted space in the Star-Lite.

Lindsay and Erik Rosenman
They met on a bus headed to a BBYO event at CBE and their CBE story continues!
Linda and Frank Cohen
They originally joined CBE looking for a synagogue with active youth programming for their son. Then, they were also impressed with CBE's rich sense of community and event-filled calendar for all ages.
Kerri Garbis
Kerri tells us about her feelings at reaching her Bat Mitzvah milestone (photo on left) and how she has been warmly embraced by the CBE community. She has become a very active CBE member!
Lauren Solomon
Lauren became hooked on using her design and communications experience for the benefit of CBE. We can thank her for work on our logo, our website, the new The Star redesign, and more!
Michael Biales and Sarah Coletti
Michael and Sarah tell us about their active leadership of and engagement in Na'aseh, their children, and Sarah's conversion.
Emily and MIke tell us about their family and involvement at CBE. In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, they say thank you for all that CBE has given them.
Maureen Parker
Maureen is grateful to be part of the CBE community and was very appreciative of the support given to her at the time of her mother's sudden death.
Dan and Allison Forseter
The Forseter family's involvement with CBE started with a baby naming, then the ELC and fast forward to Finley's Bar MItzvah. They have made dear friends and growing up together at CBE has been the best part of moving to Acton.
Jaime and Jeff Roberts
The Roberts family joined CBE five years ago when their kids were in kindergarten and 2nd grade. They love how CBE's religious school has nurtured their kids and look forward to many more years of Jewish involvement.
Jaymi and Joe Formaggio
The Formaggios joined as an interfaith couple, never imagining how involved they would become in the CBE community. Each member of the family has become an active member, with Jaymi currently serving as co-president and son Coby coming home from college every weekend to teach in the religious school.
Ethan Sokol and Kristine Fong
When Ethan and Kristine were looking at locations to live, they wanted to make sure there was a strong Jewish community. After joining CBE, they immediately learned CBE was a welcoming and inclusive community.
