Speaker Topic:  "Exploring the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism"

Amidst rising antisemitism, many local communities are struggling with how to respond. One helpful tool can be a common understanding of “what is antisemitism?”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) adopted the Working Definition of Antisemitism in 2016. The U.N. Secretary General and 33 countries have endorsed the IHRA Working Definition and use it as a tool to help identify and combat antisemitism.

Many American Jews are unfamiliar with the IHRA Working Definition. At the same time, it has been endorsed by three administrations (Obama, Trump and Biden), as well as numerous higher educational institutions and a growing number of local governments.
