We envision Jewish education as a life-long process. After Bar/Bat Mitzvah, our Midrasha program provides an opportunity for students in grades 8-10 to broaden their understanding of Jewish thought, practice and contemporary experience.
The three-year program, which meets once a week on Monday nights, features a varied curriculum that encompasses social, cultural, and ethical topics important to Jewish teenagers in today’s world. Midrasha also hosts guest speakers and authors who address current issues and seminars that meet twice a year.

Midrasha students also organize Munchies by Midrasha, where they sell baked goods and beverages on Sunday mornings and all profits go to Tzedakah.
Confirmation
The tenth grade year culminates in Confirmation, the next milestone in our students’ Jewish lives and education.
Confirmation students study with our Rabbi in a seminar setting covering topics that link Torah and the study of Torah in a broader sense of Jewish text, ideas and culture. The confirmation curriculum includes a three-day trip to New York City, visiting Jewish museums, neighborhoods and special events. The students mark their achievement with a special worship service and Confirmation ceremony on the holiday of Shavuot--the birthday of the Torah.
