Funds Congregation Beth Elohim’s topmost priorities for the current year’s budget. |

| Bridge to the Future Fund |
This fund was established to pay off our Bridge Loan (accomplished) - and to provide additional resources to pay for major planned and emergency maintenance projects not included in our normal operating budget. |

| Mortgage Reduction Fund |
This fund goes directly toward paying off our building Mortgage. |

Funds items on CBE's wish list. |

Honorary Programs
|
| Tree of Life, “Etz Chaim” |
A leaf or rock may be purchased to honor or commemorate just about any important life event. Leaves cost $360. Rocks cost $1000 for a small rock, and $2000 for a large rock. Funds received for Etz Chaim are placed in the General Fund. |

| Memorial Plaques |
If you would like to purchase a Memorial Plaque, please contact the synagogue office. |

| Named Funds |
| Adult Education Fund |
Helps support our extensive Adult Education offerings. |
|
| Chesed (Kindness) Fund |
Helps this committee serve families in need, including defraying costs for families that require assistance. |
|
| Choir Fund |
Covers the cost of choir expenses including special choir programs such as Shabbat Shira, CBE’s annual “Shabbat of Song”, soloists, etc. |
|
| Family Education Fund |
Helps fund programs such as Am Ha’Sefer (People of the Book), Parents as Partners, and other programs that foster inclusion of Judaism in everyday family life. |
|
| Kitchen Fund |
Helps cover the cost of non-food kitchen supplies and equipment. |
|
| Library Fund |
Used to purchase books and media for CBE’s wonderful library. You may request the type of purchase, and a bookplate inscription (in honor, in memory) for the front of a book. |
|
| Liturgical Art Fund |
For the purchase of artwork to beautify the areas in and adjacent to the Sanctuary. Initial funds will enable the creation of a large wall Menorah and Hebrew lettering for either side of the Bima. |
|
| Prayer Book Fund |
Funds are used to purchase new prayer books. A minimum donation of $30 is required to dedicate a prayer book with a nameplate. |
|
| Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund |
Rabbi Mintz uses these funds at his discretion for charitable purposes for our synagogue and the extended community. |

| Ritual Fund |
This fund helps defray costs of ritual items, such as silver ornaments for our Torahs. |
|
| Religious School Fund |
Provides extra services and special programs for the children in our Religious School. |
|
| Social Action Fund |
Supports CBE’s Social Action committee’s community outreach. |
|
| Torah Restoration Fund |
Initial funds will enable the restoration of a Torah used for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. |

| Youth Fund |
This fund supports youth programs offered by CBE. |
|
| Youth Choir Fund |
This fund supports the creation of a youth choir. |

| Jack & Roda Katz Fund |
In memory of Jack and Roda Katz. |

| Jason Goldfarb Youth Fund |
In Memory of Jason Goldfarb, this fund helps support CBE’s Youth Group programs. |

| Stuart Markowitz Fund |
In Memory of Stuart Markowitz, this fund provides CBE youth scholarships to Prozdor, the high school of Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts, and scholarships to Jewish summer camps. |

| Stanley and Tillie Mintz Fund |
In Memory of Rabbi Mintz’s parents. |

| Amy Naparstek Israel Scholarship Fund |
In Memory of Amy Naparstek, this fund supports educational trips to Israel for CBE youth qualified by their involvement in Jewish education, youth activities, and community service. |

In Memory of Joan Snyder, this fund supports our extensive library and the purchase of new library books. You may specify the type of book and an inscription.

Gerson Stutman Memorial
Fund |
In Memory of Gerson Stutman, a CBE Past President who was instrumental in the creation of our new synagogue building. This fund supports the on-going beautification of our synagogue building, including Liturgical Art for the sanctuary. |
