CBE Sisterhood

Come join the Sisterhood Book Club Sunday evenings starting at 7:30 pm.  If you have any questions or simply want to RSVP that you'd like to atten a meeting, please contact Lauren Pollak at lpollak611@gmail.com.

Thursday, January 26th at 7:00 p.m., former synagogue member Molly Birnbaum will be coming to CBE to talk about her recently-published book, "Season to Taste: How I Lost My Sense of Smell and Found My Way."  This free event is being offered by Sisterhood, but is open to all CBE members and the general public.  Invite your friends, spouse, book group, etc.  Copies of "Season to Taste" will be available for sale (at a substantially discounted price), and for Molly's signature, at the event.  Dessert and beverages will be provided.

Synopsis of “Season to Taste”:  At the age of 22, Molly was an aspiring chef who had been admitted to one of the country’s most prestigious cooking schools, the Culinary Institute of America.  Unfortunately, shortly before entering, she was involved in a car accident which destroyed her ability to smell – and with it her ability to taste, her desire to cook, and her dreams of working at a restaurant.  “Season to Taste” is the story of how she picked herself up and set off on a quest to understand and overcome her condition.  Molly has also been interviewed on NPR to talk about her book and her inspirational story.
