We seek opportunities each year to provide Jewish activities outside the classroom to enrich our students' total learning experience. These experiences provide a fun and enlightening way to expand our learning and to become better acquainted with one another in a more informal setting. Examples of previous field trips are:
a Midrasha trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the Holocaust Museum and see the sights
a trip to the Newton JCC to make Seder plates or Tzedakah boxes
participation in the Walk for Hunger
our Midrasha dance troupe, Chamshin, participates in the annual Israeli Dance Festival at M.I.T. in March
some of our tenth graders participate in the Panim el Panim program in Washington, D.C.
Confirmation Class trip to New York City
visits to sukkot of teachers and classmates to fulfill the mitzvah of eating in the Sukkah
curriculum-related field trips such as a visit to Levine funeral Chapel in Brookline as part of a life-cycle course, to the Mayim Hayim Mikveh in Newton and to synagogues in surrounding communities to learn about different movements of Judaism.
